In April of 2002, Chuck Perrin of Tulsa and his investment firm Rockford Energy Partners, LLC acquired natural gas wells and reserves in northeast Oklahoma from EEC Energy Corp. Perrin wouldn’t disclose the amount his group paid for the natural resources, but at the time it was his company’s third major acquisition of natural gas resources in the first ten months of the company’s existence. The acquisition included over 300 coal bed methane gas wells, 120,000 acres of oil and gas leases, heavy equipment including two drilling rigs and completion rig, and 180 miles of pipeline and compressor stations.
